Engineering Surveyor

Ridgeway Surveys are looking for a keen individual to join our expanding company as an Engineering Surveyor working on site in and around central London.

The successful applicant will need to be proficient at general site engineering duties including placement of gridlines and datums. In addition to this their skill base must extend to topographic, building and as-built surveys, setting out, establishing survey control and occasionally laser scanning. The role will require the applicant to be at ease with interrogating drawings and having an eye for detail.

You will need to have excellent AutoCAD skills and show proficiency at processing and calculating surveys. In addition to this you may be expected to prepare technical reports and spreadsheets. Exposure to Topcon’s Magnet software would be an advantage.

Answering to the Directors and liaising with our clients on site you will require excellent communication skills with a proven track record of problem solving.

A degree or HND/HNC qualification in a surveying related discipline is an essential requirement. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Site Engineering / Land Surveying role.

You will be expected to hold a current CSCS card.

Assistant Engineering Surveyor

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Ridgeway Surveys are looking for a keen individual to join our expanding company as an Assistant Surveyor.

The role will involve working on construction sites in and around central London to assist our Engineering Surveyors in carry-out their duties (including placement of gridlines and datums, as-built surveys, setting-out, establishing survey control, etc.). There will also be the opportunity to help with topographic surveys, measured building surveys and laser scanning surveys).

Minimum qualification: GCSE Maths grade C.

All training will be given. You will be expected to obtain a CSCS card immediately upon starting with Ridgeway Surveys.

Land Surveyor

Ridgeway Surveys are looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team based at our office in St Albans.

This role will include carrying out site surveys (e.g. measured building surveys, topographic surveys, etc.) using both total stations and laser scanners.

An interest in, or experience of, producing 3D models from point cloud data using Revit would also be an advantage.

The role is ideal for a talented junior/graduate level surveyor looking to develop their career.

Training will be given so experience of some/all of the following will be considered:

• Carrying out topographic surveys with Leica total stations
• Carrying out surveys with Leica and Faro laser scanners
• Revit/BIM modelling from point cloud data
• AutoCAD 2D drawings
• AutoCAD 3D modelling
• A degree or HND/HNC qualification in surveying or a survey-related discipline is an essential requirement.

A driving license is required.

You will be expected to obtain a CSCS card immediately upon starting with Ridgeway Surveys.

Some of our projects are on sensitive sites so we will require the successful candidate to agree to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
